Kizumonogatari PV1 - Isn't this just too brutal?

Kizumonogatari, prequel of famous abstract supernatural romance anime Bakemonogatari, that will premiere this upcoming fall season had just released their first PV today. Basically, the video consist of Koyomi Ararag

i head twitching while breathing heavily before his head explodes to the sound of soda opening. The sound was a circa if I am not mistaken. Other than that (except Hanekawa), for people like me who haven't read some of the part of the light novel (due to real life constraints err), some blonde dude and loli were been spotted on the PV. Anything else, I think this is just too brutal for a promotional video :)

Here's the synopsis of Kizumonogatari: I think it’s about time I talked about Kiss-Shot-Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade. I believe it’s something I have to do. I met her in the spring break between my second and third years of high school. That meeting had such impact, and was also quite devastating.
